Binghams Farm Touring Park

Michael and Ann Norris stayed longer than they'd planned at this West Dorset site.

THERE   is nothing like a personal recommendation, which is how we found ourselves at Binghams Farm during a south coast tour this year. This is an adults-only site just off the A3066 and overlooking the Brit Valley. There are two main areas for touring. A large sloping field with breathtaking views accommodates the tents, while there is an attractive tree-lined circular area for caravans and motorhomes. This second area has both grass and hard standing pitches. The pitches are a decent size

Facilities: An adults only site set in 26 acres of Outstanding Natural Beauty in West Dorset. Grass and hardstanding pitches are available, all with hook-up and some fully serviced pitches. There is a bar and restaurant on site, an award winning toilet and shower block with good disabled access and a laundry. There is also a library, freezer and microwave all available for use free of charge. There is a shop on site but gas is available to buy.

and because vans are sited at various angles, it has a relaxed and unregimental feel.
  The toilet and washing facilities are housed in a refurbished farm building and are exceptional - with shower suites that include washbasins and toilets. Above is an intimate bar and restaurant that serves home-cooked meals on some evenings. There are delightful walks direct from the site and the longest dog walk we have ever seen.
  There is an excellent supermarket at Bradpole, five minutes drive away and West Bay with its beach, harbour, pubs and restaurants are not much further. Bridport and Lyme Regis are also within easy reach. We had looked for five days but in the end we opted to stay longer and we think you will as well! ..
